Depending on how you arrive in Milan there are different ways to
get to the LITA building.
Travelling by airplane
Milan has 2 airports, Linate and Malpensa. Flights from and to Linate
are national and continental, where as intercontinental flights depart
and land at Malpensa. Linate is on the east side of Milan and not far
from the LITA. Malpensa is north-west and about 40 Km from Milan.
From Linate to the LITA
The most convenient solution is by taxi. With public transport: buy an
urban
public transport ticket from the news stand at the ground floor of
the airport; take bus 73 from Linate to Viale Campagnia; bus 91 from
Viale Campagnia to Piazza Piola; Underground metro from Piola to Udine
(trains bound to Cologno, Gessate and Cascina Gobba); buy a
1 Zone
public transport ticket from the Bar or the news stand; take the Bus
from Piazza Udine to Milano 2 (departures every 30 minutes), get off
at the portineria of Milano 2. At this point there is a 700 metre walk
from the bus stop.
From Malpensa to the LITA
There is a bus connection to Stazione Centrale (Milan Central
Station), this ticket costs around Lit. 15.000; at Stazione Centrale
buy a
1½ Zone public transport ticket from the news stand; take the
Underground metro from Centrale to Udine (trains bound to Cologno,
Gessate and Cascina Gobba); then take the Bus from Udine to Milano 2
(departures every 30 minutes). At this point there is a 700 metre walk
from the bus stop. A taxi can be taken from Malpensa, Stazione
Centrale and Piazza Udine.
Travelling by train
Milan has 4 train stations, Centrale, Lambrate, Cadorna and Garibaldi.
Centrale is the main station. All train stations are connected to the
Underground metro, buy a
1½ Zone
public transport ticket from the undergound news stand; go from
your train station to Udine with the Underground metro (trains bound
to Cologno, Gessate and Cascina Gobba); then take the bus from Udine
to Milano 2 (departures every 30 minutes). At this point there is a
700 metre walk from the bus stop. A taxi can be taken from all train
stations and Piazza Udine.
Travelling by car
Milan has a ring motorway. Follow the directions for the Tangenziale
Est (East Motorway). take the exit Lambrate and go in the direction of
Segrate (not centro città); after 1 Km there is a signal on the left
side of the road by the traffic lights for Milano 2. Turn left and
continue straight down Viale Fratelli Cervi for 1.4 Km, the LITA is
towards the end on the left side of the road, n.93.
